Team,

Here’s my heart for our worship time this Sunday evening.

This gathering may simply be us and those we invite—and that’s okay. The Spirit gave me the name, or acronym, s.p.a.c.e.s. for this time, and I believe it helps guide our hearts as we come together. surrender-presence-adoration-confession-expectation-sending

This is not about performance. It’s not Sunday morning with time limits and structure. This is space… space to be with Jesus.

I’m inviting each of you to come with a heart of worship.

I’m not coming to teach parts, go over arrangements, or lead in the way we normally do. I’m coming expectant—expectant that the Holy Spirit will lead us.

I see us praying for one another.
I see us worshiping as a community.
I see us lingering in God’s presence without rushing.

Many of you have been carrying prayers—for jobs, for family situations, for loved ones, for our country, and for this season of life; some of those prayers have been answered, and some are still in the waiting, but I believe there will be moments of deep gratitude and thanksgiving among us, and for some, after long seasons of difficulty, there is now a peace that has come, and we are coming to say thank You—to sit, to sing, and to be present with one another, especially with those who are still in need of comfort.

We’re not coming to observe.
We’re coming to lay our hearts—and our lives—before Christ.
